System Role
The Micro800 family provides compact, economical PLC control for small machines, auxiliary equipment, local panels and standalone automation; models such as Micro820 can also connect field devices through Ethernet and serial communications.
Selection Criteria
Select by embedded/expandable I/O, analog requirements, Ethernet/serial ports, Modbus RTU/TCP or EtherNet/IP needs, program capacity, RTC and local machine functions.
Integration
Integrate 2080/2085 I/O, local HMI, energy meters, drives and other Modbus/Ethernet devices with a simple tag, diagnostics and remote-data architecture appropriate for small systems.
Migration / Modernization
When modernizing MicroLogix, Pico, smart-relay or relay-contactor systems, existing I/O and serial interfaces may be retained where suitable, while program, addressing and protocol behavior are revalidated for Micro800.
